We check your benefits before we ever put you on the schedule. Ask us, and we’ll give you an estimate of what you may owe.
And we stand behind that estimate, even if your insurance ends up paying us less than expected. Some lactation networks can’t tell you what you owe until the claim is processed, weeks after your visit. We don’t think that’s fair to a tired mama.

Plans we can’t accept
Medicaid, CHIP, STAR, Marketplace (ACA) plans, Tricare, BaylorScottWhite, Ambetter, and HMO plans other than BCBS HMO. You can still see us as self pay: fill out the same form and choose Self Pay for insurance.

Hi, I’m Nichole. Bring me the baby.
I’ve been a labor and delivery nurse for 22 years. I’m also an IBCLC and a mom of three, so I know feeding struggles from both sides of the bed.
I started Fort Worth Lactation driving to moms’ houses all over DFW, about 27,000 miles that first year. Today we’re a team of more than 20 IBCLCs, but the heart is the same: one mom, one baby, one feed at a time.
If you’re hurting, exhausted, or you just know something isn’t right, you don’t have to wait until it feels impossible. Come see us. We’ll figure it out together.

Our IBCLCs come from labor & delivery, NICU, newborn nursery and postpartum nursing, plus a speech-language pathologist and a registered dietitian. Families who’ve been told “everything looks normal” but know something still isn’t working are who we love to see.

Will my insurance cover a lactation visit?
Many commercial plans cover lactation visits at 100%, but every plan is different. That’s why we check your exact benefits first and tell you what to expect before you book. Tap your plan above to start.
How fast can I be seen?
We’ll let you know your benefits within 24 hours of your form, usually much sooner, and most families are seen within days. Can’t wait that long? Choose a self-pay visit on the form and we can see you sooner. We’ll still submit the claim to your insurance, and if your plan pays us later, we reimburse you.
Do you really come to my house?
Yes. Most of our IBCLCs offer home visits across Fort Worth, Dallas and the surrounding area. Availability and any travel fee depend on where you live, and we’ll tell you up front.
Can I see you before my baby is born?
Yes, and we love it. A prenatal visit is a great idea if feeding was hard last time, you’ve had breast surgery, or you just want a plan before the fog hits.
Do you help with tongue and lip ties?
It’s our specialty. We assess oral function, support feeding before and after a release, and work alongside trusted local providers. We’re a great second look if you were told it’s “just a little one.”
I’m pumping or bottle feeding. Can you still help?
Absolutely. Flange fitting, pumping schedules, bottle refusal, supplementing safely, combo feeding: your goals lead, and we build the plan around them.
I have a BCBS HMO plan. Can I still come?
Yes! BCBS HMO plans need a referral from your primary care doctor or pediatrician first. Ask their office to send the referral to BCBS for Fort Worth Lactation & Tongue Tie Specialists (NPI 1003653916), and fill out our form. Once the referral shows up in BCBS’s system, we get the authorization and book your visit. Your doctor can find everything they need at our provider page.
