Breastfeeding & Infant Feeding Concerns We Help With
- Latch Problems & Painful Breastfeeding: Whether your baby won't latch at all, constantly pops on and off, or breastfeeding simply doesn't feel right, we'll assess what's happening and help you work toward a deeper, more comfortable and effective latch.
- Nipple Pain or Trauma: Breastfeeding shouldn't feel like a toe-curling ordeal. If you're experiencing nipple pain, cracking, bleeding or damage, we'll look beyond the symptoms and help determine why feeding hurts.
- Low Milk Supply: Worried you aren't making enough breast milk? An IBCLC can help determine whether you're dealing with truly low milk supply, poor milk transfer or something else entirely—and create an individualized plan when additional milk production is needed.
- Baby Not Gaining Weight: If your breastfed baby isn't gaining weight as expected, we look closely at the entire feeding picture, including latch, milk transfer, feeding frequency, milk supply and oral function.
- Pumping and Flange Fitting: Need to pump? We'll help make sure your breast pump is working for you—not against you. We can help with pump settings, pumping schedules, milk output, returning to work and flange fitting for improved comfort and milk removal.
- Sleepy or Fussy Babies: Some babies fall asleep before getting a full feeding. Others become frustrated the moment they reach the breast or bottle. We'll help determine what's making feeding difficult and develop strategies that work for your baby.
- Supplementing Safely if Needed: If your baby needs additional milk, we'll help you determine how to supplement safely with pumped breast milk, donor milk or formula while protecting milk production and supporting your breastfeeding goals.
- Tongue Tie, Lip Tie & Oral Function: Even if your pediatrician, an IBCLC or another provider has said there isn't one or it's "just a little one - no big deal" We can help get your baby feeding - it's our specialty. Feeding difficulties related to tongue tie or other oral restrictions can be complicated. Our IBCLCs have extensive experience working with babies with tongue tie, lip tie, oral dysfunction and persistent feeding difficulties, including families who have already been told that everything looks normal but know something still isn't working.
- Bottle Feeding Difficulties: If your baby refuses bottles, struggles to coordinate sucking and swallowing, coughs or leaks milk during feeds, or suddenly stopped accepting a bottle, we can help. And if everyone keeps telling you to “try another bottle,” “leave the room,” or find the bottle that “looks most like a breast,” come see us.

Our IBCLCs provide in-home lactation consultations throughout Fort Worth, Dallas and surrounding DFW communities, allowing you to receive personalized breastfeeding and feeding support where you're most comfortable. Pricing and Availability Varies by Location.
Telehealth Consultations
Get expert lactation support from home through a virtual visit with an IBCLC. Telehealth can be especially helpful for pumping questions, milk supply concerns, returning to work, feeding plans and follow-up care.
Lactation Visits May Be Covered by Insurance
Getting help shouldn't have to depend on whether you can afford another unexpected postpartum expense.
Fort Worth Lactation & Tongue Tie Specialists works with many major commercial insurance plans, including eligible Blue Cross Blue Shield/Anthem, UnitedHealthcare/UMR, Cigna and Aetna plans.
Coverage varies by individual plan, so we'll verify your benefits before scheduling whenever applicable.

- If covered, we'll send you the link to fill out the intake forms and get you booked in for an in-person or telehealth visit (depending on your coverage and your preferences)
- In network with most BCBS/Anthem PPO, United Healthcare/UMR, Cigna & Aetna Commercial Plans
- We do not accept: Medicaid, Star/CHIP, or any HMO plans at this time

We believe moms deserve to know what their lactation care may cost before they agree to a visit—not after.
Before scheduling, we'll review your insurance benefits, and when asked, we will provide an estimate of your expected out-of-pocket cost whenever possible. And because we value transparency, we stand behind the estimate we provide, even if your insurance ultimately reimburses us less than anticipated.
Some third-party lactation networks aren't able to tell families what they may owe until after insurance processes the claim. With us, there are no surprise bills based solely on receiving a lower-than-expected insurance payment.
You deserve to make an informed decision about your care with a clear understanding of the potential cost from the start.
